When people gather to break bread, community happens. We are building a brick, wood-fired bread oven in the McDoel Gardens neighborhood of Bloomington, Indiana. The oven will allow us to make crusty, rustic naturally leavened (sourdough) bread, provide an oven where local artisan bakers can bake and create, and maintain a space for small community events and block parties. We are creating a gathering space, a place to meet for bread, pizza parties, pie baking, classes and organizational events.
